Located on fulwood road going west out of the city centre. This Restaurant has a good following and is usually busy, it is quite spacious-may be 70-80 seats. Not licensed though but there is a Threshers a few yards away and you can BYO. Foodwise it's Bengali owned so Fish and Seafood dishes tend to be tastier, as well as vegetarian.
Friendly place with good service, had a family get together here recently and the starters and main course were both excellent.
Location wise, its really convenient if you are having a drink first as there is a small wine bar (forgot the name)a few yards away and the Bulls Head about 50 yards away, as well as the Ranmoor Inn 50 yards in the other direction. -

The Ranmoor Tandoori is a great place to eat with a wide range of different dishes and a really good atmosphere. The food is reasonable priced and the staff in general, are very pleasant and helpful. Another plus is the fact that it is not licensed so you can take your own wine/beer etc which dependent on how much you drink can save you a good few pounds. The only down side to the place is that it is sometimes difficult to park close by as it is on a main road but its worth parking up one of the side streets and walking to it, you wont be disappointed.
